1987/88 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 – A3 Sierra Cosworth Print from Motive Culture
For Touring Car racing in August 1987, the Sierra RS500 Cosworth was homologated with a larger turbo, new rear deck spoiler and an extra 100 horsepower. It competed in numerous Touring Car events around the globe and achieved legendary status, with wins in Australia, Germany, Japan, UK and New Zealand amongst others.
In 1988 one of the most famous touring car liveries was applied to the Texaco Eggenberger Sierra Cosworth driven by Klaus Ludwig, Klaus Niedzwiedz and Steve Soper. It qualified in the top three of every event of 1988 and had five pole positions; in subsequent races the RS500 had five wins, three seconds and one third, earning enough points to help Ford win the 1988 European Touring Car Championship.
Accurate and detailed, this Sierra Cosworth print features unique attributes of the original car, but given a stylised and contemporary graphic treatment to look distinct and stylish on your wall.
