- European specification Ferrari 348 TB
- 25,000 miles from new
- Freshly serviced by Bob Houghton
- Accompanied by original handbooks and tools.
This lovely example of the Ferrari 348 TB offered for sale at the Classic Motor Hub was delivered new to Zurich, Switzerland on the 16th August 1993 by supplying dealer Garage Foitek AG.
The original service books shows that the first service at 1500kms was carried out on the 22nd September just a month after the car was delivered, which shows the owner was very much enjoying his new purchase! The next service is recorded in March 1996 at 8,789 kms with the original supplying dealer.
In June 2001 the car was bought by who we believe was just its 2nd owner in June 2001. At the point of sale the car was fitted with four new Pirello P Zero tyres and had a full service carried out at 17,500kms. In September 2003 the Ferrari 348tb came in for its 30,000 km service when the odometer showed 28,000 kms. The car was back again in July 2004 having only covered 2,300kms since the last service, this time to have the cambelts changed as well as a full service, the invoice totalled nearly €5,000 EUR.
In 2007 the owner had moved from Switzerland to Gaillac just outside Toulouse and took the car, in July of that year, to Garage B. Auger for its 40,000km service at 35,600 kms. By April 2012 the car had still only covered 37,477 kms and the owner used a Lamborghini dealer who also specialised in Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati to carry out a full cambelt service as well as fitting a new clutch and fresh brake fluid, work that cost him €5,369 EUR.
In April 2015, the current owner, a UK collector (who also owns a Ferrari F40 LM and Ferrari 512M among other very special car) bought the Ferrari 348tb to keep at his holiday home in Spain. As a result, he took the car in June 2016 to Ferrari Barcelona to carry out a full service including cambelts at a cost of just under €5,000 EUR with 38,873 kms showing on the clock.
Now back in the UK, the car has just been to renowned Ferrari specialist Bob Houghton for a service and to have all of the handles and switch gear removed to be restored. Anyone with any experience of 80’s and 90’s Ferrari switchgear will know that over time the switches and door handles take on a sticky and tacky feel. To get this done is a must but does not come cheap and shows the commitment of the owner to have the car in the best condition possible.
With a view to buying an open Ferrari for his holiday home the owner has decided to part with the 348tb. Priced very fairly and with just under 40,000 kms (25,000 miles) from new and with a no-expense-spared maintenance approach over the last 20+ years, this really is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a lovely, original and well sorted Ferrari 348 TB.
