The Bentley Continental Flying Spur launched in 2006 and was based off the same platform as the famous Continental GT but was designed to be a more relaxed 4-door continent muncher. The car features the same impressive 6.0 litre, twin turbocharged W12 engine as the GT and produces some 560bhp with 480 lb-ft torque which is delivered from idle, making the Flying Spur both smooth and unbelievably powerful. Permanent 4-wheel drive gives the Continental Flying Spur impressive road-holding for a luxury limousine and the active dampers belie the weight of the car.
As impressive as the powertrain is, this Continental Flying Spur is all about the interior experience. Bentley are known for being the last word in interior luxury. The full leather cabin is sumptuously upholstered with quilted massage seats (front and rear) and rich walnut inserts. The details on the interior are something to behold. Everything you interact with, from the turned aluminium air-vent stalks, thick 3-spoke steering wheel or the weighty indicators have a quality, tactile feel that is superior even to today’s top-line German saloon offerings.
This 2007 Continental Flying Spur is one of the best around. The car offered here comes with good history and a full set of MOTs and servicing from reputable Bentley dealers; it has been used very lightly over its 11 year life, now reading just 14,500 miles. This car was also fitted with the exclusive Mulliner driving Specification, which includes drilled alloy sport foot-pedals, knurled chrome/hide gear lever, diamond quilted hide to seat facings, doors and rear quarter panels. It has had just 2 owners from new and is now offered for sale having previously been in a client’s private collection.
