Penrite Classic Medium engine oil 25W/70 is a premium mineral, high zinc, low detergent oil designed especially formulated for engines manufactured between 1950 and 1989. This SAE 25W-70 grade oil replaces SAE 40, with better results than when using a 20W50 oil.
This Classic Medium oil offers a double layer of engine wear protection with high zinc and increased operating temperature viscosity – an improvement on older multigrade oils or applications where SAE 40 monograde oil was specified by the manufacturer. It helps to control oil consumption and maintains oil pressure in older engines.
Penrite specifically recommend this oil for engines in Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, Silver Dawn, Phantom IV, V and VI, Silver Cloud I, II and III, Silver Shadow, Silver Shadow II and Bentley Mk VI, R Type, S1, S2, S3 and T Type. Penrite Classic Medium engine oil 25W/70 was previously sold in the UK under the name HPR 40.
