The Jaguar C-Type is one of the most evocative and celebrated British sports racing cars ever built, its combination of timeless styling and competition pedigree ensuring its place among the greats of post-war motoring. The example being offered here is a beautifully executed replica built by Realm Engineering in 2011 and finished to an exceptionally high standard.
Powered by Jaguar’s legendary 3.8-litre straight-six engine and clothed in a lightweight fibreglass body, it delivers all of the character, sound and presence that have made the C-Type such an enduring icon.
Acquired by the current owner in 2023, the car has since benefited from an extraordinary level of mechanical investment in order to ensure that it performs and presents at its very best.
In excess of £65,000 has been spent during the last two years alone, with major work carried out by Milford Vintage Engineering in Perthshire. This extensive programme included a full engine rebuild, suspension rebuild and rear axle rebuild, all completed with a focus on reliability, drivability and maintaining the car to an exceptionally high standard.
Following this work, further maintenance and ongoing attention have been carried out regardless of cost, resulting in a car that feels thoroughly sorted and ready to be enjoyed with confidence. While there may be cheaper examples available on the market, few can claim to have received this level of recent expenditure and careful preparation.
Presented in superb condition and offering the unmistakable experience of one of Jaguar’s most famous competition cars, this Realm Engineering C-Type is an exciting and highly usable creation that has clearly been maintained with enormous care and enthusiasm.
